Dear Diary...Got myself out of bed early to get to the specialist quick...
Can't take the suspense to find out the results... Ate dinner at 6.30pm yesterday consisting of plain chee cheong fun with a miniscule amount of sauce and had nothing else but water...
Feeling dizzy as I got into the car to drive... Had no choice but to munch on an apple to keep me going...
Saw the specialist; a friendly face as was an acquaintance of a friend... and he remembered me!!
After going over my referral letter and report he says - I don't think you're diabetic. The reading given has to be divided again for the correct number.
I was leaping for joy!!!! All my worries and tears were changed to shouts of happiness!!!
Just to ensure that all is clear, we will have to do a glucose tolerance test (GTT) - he continued... Do come back tomorrow since you've munched on a apple this morning to make the figure more accurate. Ensure to fast accordingly please...
If I could do backflips and cart-wheels I would, but I can't be too happy as the results can only be made known to me when I see him again the following Monday...
Relieved for now... tomorrow the test....
