As I sit here at my table, I try to think on what I should add to my blog today.... It's been quite a gloomy Wednesday here and with all the dark clouds, unfortunately not a single drop of water fell from the sky to cool down the earth....
I've been having such hot and sweaty nights for the past few days it's a nightmare trying to sleep. I'm one of those who doesn't have the luxury of an air-conditioning unit in her house. We rely on the conventional electric fan to keep us cool (not that I'm complaining...nope). To tell you the truth I sometimes stand in front of my fridge with the freezer compartment open to cool down before I hit the sack.
Yup..yup... using the freezer you read it right. Mother would be wondering what the heck I would be doing digging into the freezer late at night. She's probably thinking this daughter of hers didn't have enough to eat or decided to finish off the box of rum and raisin ice cream tucked away in the corner without having to share it evenly with her.
Mother and I always indulged ourselves with rum and raisin whenever we can. Our favourite ice cream flavour it is and most of the time we complain that there isn't enough rum in the raisins!!! Zack (our adopted PAWS pampered rascal of a dog) on the other hand doesn't complain much as he's satisfied with a nice vanilla or a chocolate kiddie's cup from the ice cream vendor.
You must be wondering what we're doing feeding Zack with ice cream, well let me just mention that we feed Zack quite alot of stuff since we brought him back from PAWS. Since then he's been spoilt rotten by my sister and mother (sometimes by my brother and me as well) and gets away chomping down on chocolates, char siew or tai pau, vitagen, milk, french fries, burgers, chicken nuggets, apples, pears, bananas, sausages and fresh cherries (plucked from my mother's tree) besides the ice cream!!!!
And after all the fiasco of having to lick his ice cream cup clean, Zack would happily pick up the empty cup and place it right in front of my gate to tell us "I'm done, please kindly dispose of the evidence". Then he would trot off to the corner under the shade to 'clean-up' after the feast and have a short snooze.
Alamak, just saying that I don't know what to say and the topic of ice cream made me rattle on about Zack and his lifestyle after PAWS. Maybe I ought to do a short write up about how we came about acquiring Zack... ok think I will do so in the next post. Nevertheless, I'm still going to be lost in saying something in today's post though. As you can see I'm neither here nor there with what I'm saying and the continuity of things in this story.
Oklah, think I better stop this rambling and end here. I sometimes can be a bit fickle-minded in the things I say and do. Rest assured that Zack's story would be coming soon to a post near you!
Have a great week, enjoy the next 2 days till the weekend...
Au revior!
