Stubborn!!!!!

How do we handle people that are unreasonably obstinate and difficult to manage???

Of course when it comes to children, discipline and proper upbringing is the foundation of eradicating the stubborness in them. Teaching them the right from wrong and making sure that there is always the "YES" and "NO" option in whatever they request or seek to obtain.

But the real question I wish to ask is how do we deal with the adults??

Smacking them and reasoning them out with a nice, long and thin bamboo cane wouldn't work let alone threats of being either grounded or banned from watching tv... So how do we deal with stubborn adults??

I for one would like to find out!! Any advise?
